What a difference a day makes
It's trite, but true: one day you can be in 15 degree temps, dodging icy patches on the driveway. The next day, you're strolling down a beach in your shirtsleeves. And isn't that a wonderful thing?! "The next day" in this case was three wildly varied Sarasota activities planned by Steve. We started at an awesome Audubon site called The Celery Fields. This part of Florida used to be heavily agricultural. Then there was a flood control project, and that led to developing extensive waterways and wildlife habitat and re-introducing native plants. We had a hike and saw some old bird friends and made some new ones. OK, the emu was not at the Celery Fields. Our next stop was a big cat rehab facility, which took the form of a small zoo.
